Enago’s Author Workshop at Peking University Helps Researchers to Publish Successfully

Beijing, China: China is now the world’s largest producer for scientific research. Enago recognizes this potential and has constantly been endeavoring to aid Chinese researchers in improving their publication chances in international peer-reviewed journals. As part of this endeavor, Enago recently organized an author workshop for early-career researchers and graduates at Peking University. This workshop mainly covered topics ranging from pain points faced by ESL authors, intricacies of publishing in English, tips for preparing an article for publication, and awareness for open access publishing in China.

The session was conducted by Dr. Mingfang Lu, General Manager, Enago, who is also a renowned industry expert with over 15 years of experience. In addition, Dr. Lu had a Q&A session with the researchers and addressed a number of their challenges related to scientific writing and academic publishing. He also mentioned that, “Such workshops help Chinese researchers improve their understanding about critical aspects in writing research papers in English and strictly adhering to the journal guidelines for a successful publication. Enago will continue to build on its outreach initiative to assist ESL researchers in their publication journey.”

Professor Xuzong Chen, Director of Institute of Quantum Electronics, Peking University (PKU) stated, “I think the workshop covered all aspects of the process of writing and publishing a research paper in English. The sessions were detailed and interesting; especially thanks to Dr. Mingfang Lu who has a strong research background and a long experience as Editor-in-Chief in a well-known international publishing company. The workshop was very useful in guiding graduate students and young researchers to write and publish their own research papers in the best way.”
